American Shooters DBA Tri Tactical (“we,” “us,” or “our”), located in El Cajon, California, operates a firearms retail store and shooting range. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, store, range facilities, products, and services. By accessing our website, entering our premises, purchasing products, renting firearms, or using the range, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. Eligibility and Age Requirements You must be at least 18 years of age to enter the premises or use any services. You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or rent handguns or semi-automatic rifles/centerfire rifles. You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase or rent other long guns (with valid exceptions under California law, such as a valid hunting license). Individuals under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian accompany them at all times while on the premises. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time.
2. Identification and Legal Compliance All customers must present a valid government-issued photo ID (California Driver’s License or ID card preferred) before any transaction or range use. We strictly comply with all federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) Dealer Record of Sale (DROS) process and the mandatory 10-day waiting period for firearm purchases/transfers. Prohibited persons under state or federal law (e.g., felons, domestic violence misdemeanants, those adjudicated mentally defective) are not permitted on the premises or to purchase firearms/ammunition. You represent and warrant that you are not a prohibited person and are legally eligible to possess firearms and ammunition.
3. Range Rules and Safety Requirements All range users must:
Sign our separate Range Use, Release, Indemnification, and Liability Waiver Agreement before entry (physical signature required).
Wear mandatory eye and ear protection at all times while on the range.
Bring all firearms unloaded and cased upon entry. Firearms may only be handled or loaded inside the assigned shooting booth under Range Officer (RO) supervision.
Follow all posted safety rules and verbal instructions from Range Officers. ROs have final authority; unsafe behavior will result in immediate removal without refund.
Use only permitted ammunition: soft-core/lead ammunition is generally allowed. Steel-core, armor-piercing, incendiary, tracer, or any restricted ammunition is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate ejection and potential criminal charges.
Comply with all California firearm laws, including safe storage and handling requirements.
Violation of any rule may result in revocation of range privileges and/or legal action.
4. Assumption of Risk and Liability Release Firearms use and range activities involve inherent risks, including, but not limited to, accidental discharge, ricochets, hearing damage, lead exposure, eye injury, death, or property damage. You voluntarily assume all risks and agree to release, indemnify, hold harmless, and covenant not to sue American Shooters DBA Tri Tactical, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or injuries (including those caused by negligence, except gross negligence or willful misconduct as limited by California law) arising from your use of the premises, products, or services. This release extends to your heirs, executors, and assigns. Minors under your supervision: you assume full responsibility and liability for them.
5. Purchases, Transactions, and Website Use All firearm sales/transfers are subject to DROS, background checks, 10-day waiting periods, and applicable fees. We do not guarantee availability or pricing. Online/website orders are processed in-store and subject to the same legal requirements. You agree to provide accurate information and comply with all laws. We reserve the right to refuse any sale.
6. Prohibited Conduct You agree not to engage in illegal activity, harassment, unsafe behavior, or violation of any law while on premises or using our services. We may terminate access or refuse service at any time.
7. Intellectual Property All content on our website is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright/trademark law. You may not reproduce or use it without permission.
8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: These Terms are governed by California law. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of San Diego County, California. You waive any right to a jury trial to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. We do not sell any items to those outside of the United States.
10. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
