At American Shooters DBA Tri Tactical, we strive for customer satisfaction while complying with all California and federal firearms laws. Due to the regulated nature of our products and services, our refund policy is strict.
1. Firearms and Transfers
All firearm purchases are subject to the 10-day waiting period and DROS process. Once a firearm is transferred/picked up, it is final sale and non-returnable/non-refundable (except as required by law for defects covered by manufacturer warranty).
DROS fees, dealer transfer fees, background check fees, and any state-mandated fees are non-refundable.
If a background check is denied, the firearm cannot be released. We will assist with return to the manufacturer (if applicable) but charge any applicable restocking/shipping fees (limited to 5% of purchase price per California Penal Code § 26883 where applicable).
Cancellations before DROS submission may be accepted at our discretion, subject to a restocking fee.
2. Ammunition, Accessories, and Range Rentals
Ammunition and consumables are final sale for safety and hygiene reasons (no returns or refunds).
Range rentals, lane fees, and memberships are non-refundable once used. Unused memberships may be refunded within 14 days of purchase, minus a $25 processing fee (subject to terms).
Defective non-firearm items may be returned within 30 days in original, unused condition with receipt for exchange or refund (at our discretion). Return shipping is your responsibility.
3. General Conditions
All returns require the original receipt and must be in new, unused condition.
We do not offer refunds for “buyer’s remorse,” misuse, or failure to comply with range rules/safety requirements.
Manufacturer warranties apply to defective firearms (processed through authorized service; we do not provide direct refunds).
We do not provide returns or refunds for firearms for any reason.
No refunds on custom orders, sale items, or used/damaged items.
4. Exceptions We comply with all applicable California consumer protection laws. If a product is defective or we made an error, we will work with you for repair, replacement, or refund where legally required.
